Sew bags, blankets, or bibs

One of my goals when I first started care bags was to provide kids with a fabric bag that they could keep and call their own. We have been extremely blessed to have so many talented seamstresses/creative volunteers who have made countless bags, blankets, and bibs. Below is a sample pattern for making a care bag...feel free to use it, or to be creative and try out your own!

Donate new items or make a monetary donation

We have been so in awe over the years with the continued outpouring of help in the form of donations. Boxes of new items arrive on a weekly basis from people around the country! We also have many individuals/groups that send donations in a monetary form. We use these funds to purchase needed items and to help cover shipping costs. We couldn't continue to do what we do without these forms of help!

Make Tie Blankets

We have found it to be such a joy to get to include blankets in all ages of bags. One thing that groups have really enjoyed (and we adore) is making tie blankets. It is a fun group activity, as well as being a perfect item to fill our bags. One yard x One yard blankets are a perfect size!

"Adopt" the idea of Care BAGS AND START A PROJECT OF YOUR OWN

Over the years we have had numerous groups and individuals begin a project in their own communities to make a difference for kids. Interested in learning more about how to get started? Contact us for a Care Bags Starter Kit!
